Ikat bowl orange from Uzbekistan, IV Quarter 20th Century

From the middle to the end of the 20th century, this hand-painted tableware was part of the everyday culture of Uzbekistan. They were produced in porcelain kolkhozes, which all shut down with the collapse of the Soviet Union and the independence of the country. These large bowls were above all intended for “plow”, the Uzbek national dish of 1 kg of rice, mutton, carrots and onions. (don’t forget oil, cook very long, finished). The cups won’t be offended when you fill them with other ingredients.
