The ceramics of the Hungarian Great Plain are known for their humorous, figurative utility ceramics. The variations range from hussar jugs to guinea fowl-shaped bowls. The ceramics were made by the Hungarian master potter Imre Szűcs, who runs a workshop in Tiszafüred with his wife Andrea and his two daughters, Judith and Andrea. He is a recognised as ‘ Népművészet Mestere’, or master of folk art.
