Sphere made of canelo clay and decorated with natural dyes from Tonalá, Jalisco, México

Canelo clay is one of the five types of traditional clay from Tonalá. Their terracotta colors make it a particular clay when it is finished. The paint and finish can not be seen until it is set in the oven and brown tones appear. Canelo is named after the color of the fired pottery, which is various shades of cinnamon. Canela is the spaniosh name for it.
