King Ludwig II of Bavaria was also called the Swan King, Mad King or fairy tale King. He built three castles, one of them the famous Neuschwanstein castle. His death is still quite mysterious and there are many rumors about him being gay. He was friends with Sissy and the film “Ludwig” directed by Visconti is great as well.
