This tunika was made for a little girl. It comes from the region Lao Chai, in northern Vietnam, and belongs to the dress of the Red Yao. The Yao are an indigenous people that live in northern Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and China. The Yao are excellent in stitching. Like for adults, the children’s jackets are made of indigo dyed cotton and are embroidered.
