Apron, Dzao (Yao), North Vietnam

This “apron” is a part of the woman’s textiles of the Dzao from northern vietnam. It was in his first life a baby carrier and could be worn today as apron. We didn’t made changes on this wonderful artefact, that you can also hang on the wall.

The Yao are indigenous people who live in the north of Vietnam,  Laos, and Thailand as well as in the South of China. This is where they originally come from areas such as Guanxi, Hunan and Guangdong.
