Russian bowl, Kuznetsov, Uzbekistan, Beginning 20th c
The story of industrially produced tea sets from Central Asia begins with the Russian porcelain factories. Due to economic changes, such as industrialisation and increased competition, they were under enormous financial pressure. The emerging Central Asian markets came at an opportune moment, and they flooded it with their goods.
This bowl is made in the first quarter of the 20th century for the central asian marktet. It´s made by the russian porcelain manufacturer Kuznetsov, former Gardner.
